Woodland wellbeing for people supporting others - and themselves.
Mindful, neurodiverse friendly, and rooted in care.
At Calm in the Wild, we create safe, supportive outdoor spaces where parents, carers, and educators of children with additional needs, and adults identifying as neurodiverse, can reconnect with nature, reduce stress, and restore their wellbeing.
Through woodland wellbeing sessions and mindful walks, we empower those who support others, offering respite, connection, and the proven mental health benefits of time in nature.
With experience as a forest school and therapeutic leader, I know the benefits of spending time outdoors connecting with nature. From 25+ years working as a teacher, I have seen how few opportunities parents, carers and educators have to prioritise their own wellbeing. This has a huge impact on their ability to support their children.
I also recognise that many adults identifying as neurodiverse struggle to access well-being spaces that feel safe, inclusive and non-judgmental. Calm in the Wild creates gentle, grounded spaces for people who are often supporting everyone else, but are rarely supported themselves.
We offer outdoor wellbeing sessions for school staff - from twilight wind-downs to INSET day retreats. These sessions are designed to support emotional regulation, reduce burnout and build connection, all grounded in nature.
Our woodland wellbeing sessions are created for those who care for others - especially parents and carers of neurodivergent children and children with additional needs. They offer a calm space to rest, breathe, and reconnect with yourself in nature.
We offer gentle, low pressure outdoor wellbeing sessions that honour difference and support emotional regulation, sensory needs and calm connection. These spaces are designed to feel inclusive, flexible, and genuinely welcoming.
