Calmer, more focused, more connected
Motorpoint approached Calm in the Wild during a period of significant organisational change. Staff were experiencing high workplace stress, shifting job roles, and the impact of recent redundancies.
The People Team wanted to offer colleagues something restorative, grounding, and genuinely supportive - not another indoor wellbeing talk.
Across four sessions, Calm in the Wild delivered a series of nature-based wellbeing experiences designed to reduce stress, rebuild connection, and create moments of calm in the middle of uncertainty.
1. Mindful Woodland Walks (x2)
Gentle, guided walks focusing on grounding, breath, sensory awareness, and connection to the natural environment.
Activities included:
2. Woodland Wellbeing Sessions (x2)
These sessions combined calm, creativity and campfire connection.
Activities included:
All sessions were inclusive, low pressure, and accessible to staff with varying levels of confidence outdoors.
Staff reported feeling noticeably calmer, more present and reconnected - both with themselves and each other.
What participants told us:
Every participant said they would recommend the session to a colleague.
Across all four sessions, not a single piece of negative feedback was received.
These sessions showed how even a short period outdoors can shift mood, perspective and energy far more effectively than a traditional wellbeing workshop indoors.
